lol, this is my first submission on DA. I try to make 2d explosions as real as possible, so... this is what i came out with. It's kinda laggy on lower spec PCs. right click and view with lower quality.
I'm gona use it in an animation of mine (wip), Will be posting it on DA soon!
Also, finding team members to work on this project >"<.
Anyway, hope that you enjoy this short explosion effect of mine. Thankies

20 fps, 68 layers, 14 hrs on macromedia flash 5 (from planing to animating).

I like it. A bit cartoony, especially since the smoke involved doesn't have much spread, nor is it foving upwards, but overall, it's nice- very smooth, very much to the point, and great use of color for the firey portions.

thats soo awesome being 2D and yet having real life physics applied to it...i think.

I don't really know that much about flash or anything at all about it haha.

But did you do this frame-by-frame or tween or something? Was a formula used to simulate gravity or something? lol
